FCCLA national award recognizes Dr. Paula Tripp

When Dr. Paula Tripp joined the College of Human Sciences to develop the family and consumer sciences education program at Oklahoma State University, she had a national reputation as a leader in the field. During its national leadership conference, Family, Career and Community Leaders of America recognized her efforts to build a degree option at OSU and increase the number of professionals in FACS Ed.

Oklahoma State University named regional winner, vies for national community engagement honor

Recognizing extraordinary community outreach, the Association of Public and Land-grant Universities (APLU) announced today that Oklahoma State University is a regional winner of the 2017 W.K. Kellogg Foundation Community Engagement Scholarship Award. OSU now competes with three other regional winners -- East Carolina University, the University of New Hampshire and Purdue University -- for the national C. Peter Magrath Community Engagement Scholarship Award, which will be announced during the APLU Annual Meeting November 12-14 in Washington, D.C.

Design, Housing and Merchandising majors earn top 10 rankings

The apparel design and merchandising degree options at Oklahoma State University are among the highest ranked programs in the country. According to Fashion-Schools.org, the apparel design program is ranked sixth nationally among public school and colleges offering fashion design. The merchandising program is ranked seventh nationally.
