OSU Opera Theatre to perform “The Pirates of Penzance”

The Oklahoma State University Opera Theatre will present “The Pirates of Penzance” with comic performances that are sure to be crowd pleasers on Friday and Saturday, March 9 and 10, at 7:30 p.m. in the concert hall of the Seretean Center for the Performing Arts.

Oklahoma State University President Burns Hargis will join the OSU Jazz Orchestra on the piano for a cameo performance at a concert that will also feature the OSU Jazz Ensemble and an after-party celebrating the jazz orchestra’s first commercially-released album, “Solid Gold,” on Tuesday, Feb. 20, at 7:30 p.m. in the Seretean Center Concert Hall.

OSU Theatre presents “How I Learned to Drive”

The OSU Department of Theatre is driven by a vision for the community as it presents the Pulitzer Prize-winning play, “How I Learned to Drive,” by Paula Vogel, Feb. 22-24 at 7:30 p.m. and Feb. 25 at 2:30 p.m. in the Vivia Locke Theatre at the Seretean Center for the Performing Arts. For this production, the theatre department has collaborated with Payne County Youth Services to provide support for the youth in the community.

OSU student wins district Met auditions

His performance convinced a panel of judges to advance him to the regional competition in March with a $2,000 award for his achievement.
