Longtime OSU employee joins FAPC as facilities manager

The Oklahoma State University Robert M. Kerr Food and Agricultural Products Center recently hired a new facilities manager to join the center. Aaron Moore, a 1993 graduate of Stillwater High School and longtime employee of OSU, will manage and maintain operational status of all FAPC facilities, including the external components, grounds and roof of the building.

Frustrated by the lack of diversity on scientific panels, Department of Integrative Biology professor Dr. Elizabeth McCullagh set out to fix the problem in 2018 with the help of Dr. Katarzyna Nowak of The Safina Center and Dr. Jane Zelikova of the University of Wyoming. Together they created Request a Woman in STEMM, a database where underrepresented people in science, technology, engineering, mathematics and medicine (STEMM) can not only connect and collaborate with each other, but also be called upon by journalists, conference organizers or others needing expert opinion.

A couple guided by faith and giving

Lucina and Kyle Thompson met at Oklahoma State University as freshmen and married a year after graduating. What happened in between was the development of a deep friendship before that friendship turned romantic. For both, it was life changing as was their time at OSU where the couple developed a world view guided by their faith that placed serving others ahead of themselves.
