Partnership between CEAT PD, Oklahoma DEQ continues to grow

There is a strong partnership that has developed between the Oklahoma Department of Environmental Quality and College of Engineering, Architecture and Technology Professional Development. It has resulted in numerous training courses provided by CEAT PD, especially in rural areas, to provide Oklahoma residents with opportunities to attend training sessions that help them in their careers.

Researchers in the College of Engineering, Architecture and Technology are beginning a three-year project to develop advanced solar-powered desalination technology to treat produced water from the oil and gas industry. Negative aspects of produced water are that it can include things like oil, grease and salts. It can also contain dissolved gases and radioactive materials.
