ASEE recognizes OSU for Exemplary Diversity and Inclusion Program for second year in a row

Oklahoma State University was one of 29 universities recognized nationwide as a Bronze level awardee for their Exemplary Diversity and Inclusion program for the second year in a row by the American Society for Engineering Education (ASEE), and will be recognized at the 2020 ASEE Collaborative Network for Engineering and Computing Diversity conference in April 2020.

Architecture faculty member recognized with 2020 Humanities, Arts and Design Award

Jay Yowell, an assistant professor in the School of Architecture, was awarded a 2020 Humanities, Arts and Design grant from the Office of the Vice President of Research in February. The HAD grants are awarded to tenured or tenure-track faculty in the areas of humanities-, arts- and design-based disciplines. These researchers are awarded one-year grants of up to $10,000.

In 2019, the Management Department at the Spears School of Business at Oklahoma State University was ranked 12th in the nation for publishing in top-tier management journals. The TAMUGA rankings (a joint effort by Texas A&M University and the University of Georgia) placed the productivity of the department's researchers at the top of the Big 12 Conference.

New Diversity/Inclusion position added to CEAT

Oklahoma State University’s (OSU) College of Engineering, Architecture and Technology (CEAT) is pleased to announce it has re-established its Diversity and Inclusion Student Programs (formally known as Multicultural Engineering Program [MEP] and Women in Engineering, Architecture and Technology [WEAT]). To lead these efforts, Yokolanda Speight will be moving forward as the new Diversity and Inclusion coordinator. “This position will support, promote and develop our students and their organizations, as well as our college’s efforts to be inclusive of all perspectives, opinions and backgrounds,” said Lance Millis, director of CEAT Student Academic Services.
