CEATs Online Graduate Programs Jump in National Rankings

Oklahoma State University’s online programs from its College of Engineering, Architecture and Technology rose dramatically in the latest rankings from U.S. News and World Report magazine. The magazine placed the OSU programs at 16th in the nation, up from 37th in 2018 and 31st in 2017. OSU continues to have the state’s highest ranking for best online graduate engineering programs.

CEAT Staff Recognized at SAC Distinguished Service Awards Ceremony

Each year, OSU’s Staff Advisory Council holds the Distinguished Service Awards Ceremony to recognize staff members across the University for their hard work, dedication and contribution to the overall success of the University. Awards are presented to the top ten employees nominated by their supervisors or co-workers. OSU Dedicates New Devon Material Lab, Leadership Program

Oklahoma State University celebrated the opening of the Devon Energy Material Science Laboratory in a new state-of-the-art building. The Devon laboratory is part of ENDEAVOR, a 72,000-square-foot building with 15 labs, collaborative work spaces and five industry-aligned labs for student projects.

CHE Professors White and Aichele Awarded American Chemical Society Grant

The American Chemical Society has recognized the collaborative work of PI Dr. Jeffery White and co-PI Dr. Clint Aichele, faculty in the Chemical Engineering Department, by awarding them an American Chemical Society “New Directions” grant in the amount of $110,000 for two years.

CEAT Announced Hall of Fame and Lohmann Recipients

The College of Engineering, Architecture and Technology at Oklahoma State University inducted Ali Fazel, Brian Price and Edward Shreve into the CEAT Hall of Fame. Price and Shreve also received the Lohmann Medal. The ceremony was held on Oct. 20 at the ConocoPhillips OSU Alumni Center.

OSU AIChE Earns Outstanding Student Chapter Award

Former OSU president, James Halligan, honored by national engineering society

Dr. James Halligan, former president of Oklahoma State University and former Oklahoma State Senator, was named a Tau Beta Pi Distinguished Alumnus at the 2018 convention in Denver, Colo. on October 13. This award recognizes alumni who have demonstrated outstanding adherence to the ideals of Tau Beta Pi and to fostering a spirit of liberal culture on local, national, and international scales.

OSU's Parallel Design Build Wins First Place in Regional Competition

Moh'd Bilbeisi Wins Again

Moh’d Bilbeisi, professor of architecture at Oklahoma State University, has been awarded the William Kirby Lockard Prize for his work submitted in the 2018 Juried Design Communication Exhibition. This is the top prize in recognition of Excellence in Design Communication awarded by the Design Communication Association at the 2018 DCA Biennial Conference at Cornell University on Oct. 9.
