OSU Army ROTC earns top 15 national ranking

Oklahoma State University’s Army ROTC program has been recognized among the best in the nation, ranking No. 13 out of 294 programs evaluated by the U.S. Army Cadet Command.

ROTC cadets make history as first female infantry officers from OSU

Two Army ROTC graduates made history this spring as the first female cadets from the Oklahoma State University Cowboy Battalion to be selected as infantry officers upon their graduation from OSU. Keona Tidwell and Madeline Sloniker graduated in May, and are now heading to Fort Benning, Georgia, to attend the Infantry Basic Officer Leader Course (IBOLC). Once they graduate IBOLC, they will officially be the first female infantry officers to come from OSU’s Army ROTC program.

It’s been 50 years since Ronn Cupp earned his bachelor’s degree from OSU, but his memories of those four years in Stillwater are as vivid as ever. The 1970 journalism and broadcasting graduate said his education and experiences at Oklahoma State prepared him for his career, brought him lifelong friends and led him to meeting his wife, Beth.
