McKnight Center unveils 2021-2022 season featuring Tim McGraw and Bernadette Peters

Mon, May 17, 2021

The season will run from September to May with McGraw's performance headlining a grand reopening weekend of performances in October and Peters' taking place on Valentine's Day 2022. Other noteworthy performances include the Philadelphia Orchestra, STOMP and Oklahoman operatic soprano, Sarah Coburn.

Payton Dougherty of Yukon, Oklahoma, was recently recognized as one of 22 Outstanding Seniors for 2020-21 by the OSU Alumni Association. The Political Science (Honors) and Philosophy double major also minored in Law and Legal Studies and got involved with organizations ideal for someone with her eyes set on law school.

Physiology pre-med sciences major Johna Pulliam named an Outstanding Senior

Some of Physiology major Johna Pulliam’s favorite things about OSU prior to the pandemic were sporting events and learning in person with professors and classmates, so COVID-19 restrictions made for some difficult adjustments. But the Broken Arrow, Oklahoma, native said the past year has also been full of uniquely positive opportunities, too.

Three CAS students featured at Research Day at the Capitol

Oklahoma legislators got a glimpse of the College of Arts and Sciences’ academic talent in March through three undergraduate researchers. Aaron Austin, Sierra Posey and Sam Kauffman were invited to present their work at the Research Day at the Capitol in Oklahoma City, which is sponsored by Oklahoma’s Established Program to Stimulate Competitive Research (EPSCoR), Oklahoma State Regents for Higher Education and the National Science Foundation.

Music Education major Braeden Weyhrich named an Outstanding Senior

During her time as an undergraduate, Braeden Weyhrich of Boone, Iowa, capitalized on the myriad music-related opportunities OSU has to offer. The music education major and clarinetist was part of the Cowboy Marching Band, Wind Ensemble, Symphonic Band, Concert Band, OSU Symphony Orchestra, Tau Beta Sigma sorority, Sigma Alpha Iota fraternity and the National Association for Music Education. She was also on the President’s Leadership Council her freshman year, earned her Honors College degree, and topped things off by being selected as a 2021 OSU Alumni Association Outstanding Senior.
