Lincoln County Extension helps Iowa Tribe youth learn how cool pumpkins (and the kids themselves) really are

TRYON, Oklahoma – Kitchen safety, good nutrition, gardening for food and Native American history were all on the menu Nov. 14 as Iowa Tribe youth working with the Lincoln County Extension Office used the making of pumpkin bread to develop lifelong skills while learning more about themselves and America’s native tribes in the process.

2017 National Champion Livestock Judging Team

The 2017 Oklahoma State University Livestock Team was named National Champions at the National contest in Louisville, Kentucky! The team took home the bronze bull on November 14th, 2017, with a clean sweep victory. They won every species division and reasons. Jessie Judge, Faith Onstot, and Hope Onstot were also named All-American Individuals.

CASNR Student participates in year-long CABLE leadership training

The U.S. Department of Agriculture funded a new project to create a nationwide organization of universities to train future bioeconomy workforce. The project, Consortium for Advanced Bioeconomy Leadership Education, is a partnership of 20 colleges and universities, including Oklahoma State University. Joanna Quiah, a junior biosystems and agricultural engineering student, is OSU’s delegate for the 2017-2018 CABLE program.
