Oklahoma State University data science researcher Dr. Dursun Delen has been selected to mentor a biomedical scientist and physician in using artificial intelligence to model data to improve the efficiency of hospital emergency rooms. Delen, Regents Professor in Management Science and Information Systems in the Spears School of Business, was chosen from a nationwide field of data research experts to participate in the Data Science Rotation for Advancing Discovery Trip (RoAD-Trip), a National Institutes of Health (NIH) program.

However, those standards are not upheld around the globe. Researchers at Oklahoma State University’s Robert M. Kerr Food & Agricultural Products Center recently assisted Stormberg Foods, a family-owned South African company, with the validity process of producing biltong, a novel version of beef jerky.

Industrial Assessment Center at Oklahoma State University celebrates 1,000th Industrial Assessment milestone

On Dec. 4, 2018, OSU celebrated its 1,000th industrial assessment/energy audit milestone performed by OSU’s Industrial Assessment Center (IAC). IAC team members, acting and retired faculty, OSU administrators, officials from the U.S. Department of Energy (DOE), Rutgers University, and Wichita State University gathered at CEAT’s newest undergraduate laboratory, ENDEAVOR, to celebrate. The industrial assessment/energy audit was performed the following day at ASCO Aerospace.
