The Oklahoma State University Foundation was selected as the second Best Nonprofit to Work For in 2020 among mid-sized organizations and fifth overall by The NonProfit Times. The Best Companies Group partnered with The NonProfit Times to identify nonprofit organizations across the country where leaders have excelled in creating quality workplaces.

OKC park green to go with Extension resources

The greenery in spring bloom at Scissortail Park were chosen for central Oklahoma, OSU alumnus and horticulture director Lance Swearengen said. Extension played a key role. That’s not hyperbole, either; it’s a design point expected to save hundreds of thousands of dollars for taxpayers who backed the MAPS 3 project, the park’s director of horticulture said recently.

Cattle industry losing billions to COVID-19, report finds

The U.S. cattle industry lost an estimated $13.6 billion by early April this year due to the COVID-19 pandemic, and more economic damages to agriculture are likely, according to a study commissioned by the National Cattlemen’s Beef Association released this week.
