A viral disease that primarily affects horses and cattle and occasionally pigs, sheep, goats, llamas and alpacas, vesicular stomatitis cases have been confirmed as close as south central Kansas.

Dr. Herbert Justus Named 2020 OSU Distinguished Alumnus

Dr. Renison Named 2020 OSU Distinguished Alumnus

Oklahoma State University College of Veterinary Medicine recently announced that Craig Jones, DVM, of Cleburne, Texas, was named a 2020 Distinguished Alumnus of the veterinary college. Owner of Northside Animal Clinic in Cleburne, Jones earned his DVM degree from Oklahoma State University in 1989.

Bubbles – Knocking on Death’s Door

It’s 1 a.m. on Tuesday, June 2, when Marion Campeau of Fairfax, Oklahoma, pulled up to the emergency entrance of the Oklahoma State University College of Veterinary Medicine’s Veterinary Medical Hospital. Bubbles, her 12-week old Pekinese, had literally taken her last puppy breath. Bubbles was in cardiopulmonary arrest.

Todd Holbrook, professor and June Jacobs Endowed Chair in Veterinary Medicine, and Megan Williams, assistant professor of equine surgery, recently completed a study looking at a pelleted CBD product in horses.
