Oklahoma State University President Kayse Shrum welcomed the largest and most diverse freshman class in OSU history during Cowboy Kickoff on Friday afternoon in Gallagher-Iba Arena.
The announcement was guided by input from the OSU community, as well as a diverse, 24-person selection committee, assisted by the national search firm Buffkin/Baker.
Provost and Senior Vice President of Academic Affairs Dr. Gary Sandefur announced his plans this week to retire effective March 31. A native of Madill, Okla., and member of the Chickasaw Nation, Dr. Sandefur has served in this position since July 1, 2014 after serving at the University of Wisconsin-Madison for 30 years.
Dr. Jeanette M. Mendez was appointed vice provost in the Division of Academic Affairs during the OSU/A&M Board of Regents’ regular board meeting Friday at the OSU-Oklahoma City campus.
