For the second consecutive year, OSU and Stillwater Community United (SCU) collaborated on the unity march, which included speakers like OSU President Kayse Shrum and Stillwater Mayor Will Joyce. The SCU march joined with the OSU crowd of students, professors and faculty at the Spears School of Business to hear university and city leaders speak.
For the second consecutive year, Oklahoma State University is joining with Stillwater Community United (SCU) for a commemorative march to honor the legacy of Dr. Martin Luther King Jr.
Following Monday’s march in celebration of the legacy of Dr. Martin Luther King, OSU continued its MLK celebration Tuesday with a virtual keynote address by history professor Dr. Brandy Thomas Wells and the announcement of the essay contest winner for the newly created Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. OSU Scholarship.
Due to a scheduling conflict, Oklahoma State University’s Martin Luther King Jr. observance featuring former Colorado Lt. Gov. Joe Rogers has been postponed.
