50 Years on the Air: 'Oklahoma Gardening' is television you've grown to love

When Oklahoma State University Extension horticulturist Joe Maxon first hauled plants from Stillwater to the OETA studio to shoot the brand-new, live TV program, “Oklahoma Gardening,” he likely had no idea of the impact it would have. He was laying the groundwork for a show now celebrating its golden anniversary and viewed worldwide.

OSU Alumni Association inducts Hall of Fame Class of 2025

The Oklahoma State University Alumni Association honored six new members of the OSU Hall of Fame at a ceremony on Feb. 7 in the ConocoPhillips OSU Alumni Center. Frank Eaton, Jay Helm, Drs. John and Catherine Jameson, Melinda Stinnett, and Jerry Winchester received the university’s highest honor. The award celebrates outstanding lifetime achievements in society and professional life.

The climb: Spears Business students scale Mount Kilimanjaro

OSU seniors Bryson Wolfe and Ben Simpson climbed Mount Kilimanjaro, one of the famed Seven Summits, during winter break. Although many in their group were experienced mountaineers, Wolfe and Simpson had a different story, using altitude training masks as they prepared in Stillwater.

The bull was going full force into 2024, but as he was bucking at a PBR event in South Carolina, he sustained an injury to his left hind leg that would put his career on hold.
