OSUPD swears in two new officers

The Oklahoma State University Police Department officially welcomed two new officers with a swearing-in ceremony Friday. Aaron Spears and Vincent Benincasa joined the department last June and graduated from the police academy in the fall. Both have experience as public service officers.

OSU/A&M Regents approve personnel actions

Numerous Oklahoma State University personnel actions were approved during the OSU/A&M Board of Regents meeting Friday at Panhandle State University. Notably, Dr. Glen S. Krutz will be leading the OSU College of Arts and Sciences. Regents approved his appointment as dean, professor, and Puterbaugh Endowed Chair (appointment grants tenure), Department of Political Science, Dean’s Office, College of Arts and Sciences. Krutz was recommended after an intensive national search that began last fall. He is expected to transition to OSU on or about July 1.

The American Concrete Institute (ACI) Foundation announced its 2019-2020 fellowship and scholarship recipients, and engineering student Hope Hall received the Tribute to the Founders Fellowship. This is Hall’s second time to receive an ACI Fellowship.

MAE student Cole Replogle awarded Goldwater Scholarship

Cole Replogle, a junior in the College of Engineering, Architecture and Technology (CEAT) is one of Oklahoma State University’s 2019 Goldwater Scholars. Replogle is one of three OSU students receiving the Goldwater Scholarship. This is the third year in a row that OSU students were selected to receive the scholarship, and only the second time OSU has had three student recipients in the same year, the first being in 2008.
