School of Hospitality and Tourism Management names director of beverage education center

Long-time Tulsa beverage manager and educator Tony Collins has been named director of the Wayne Hirst Center for Beverage Education at the Oklahoma State University School of Hospitality and Tourism Management (HTM). Collins brings nearly 20 years of experience with restaurants, craft breweries and special events, including consumer education and employee training, to the Stillwater campus.

Memorial dedication set for OSUPD officer killed in 1992

The public is invited to the dedication of a new memorial for former Oklahoma State University Police Officer Brent Daniel at 2 p.m. June 22 at Lake Carl Blackwell. On May 14, 1992, Daniel and his girlfriend, Shelly Manley, were on his motorcycle on State Highway 51C when they were struck from behind by a drunk driver traveling more than 90 mph. Daniel was killed. Manley, who was critically injured, has gone on to dedicate her life to helping individuals as a behavioral health adviser.
