Research focuses on algorithms for angled boreholes

Through the Center for Integrated Building Systems, industry partners are funding a two-year project looking to develop algorithms for the design of these angled boreholes. Angled boreholes, while used sporadically in Europe, have not gained as much popularity in the U.S. due to current limitations.

CIBS research project focuses on refrigerant innovations

Dr. Atanu Halder, assistant professor for The School of Mechanical and Aerospace Engineering, is working on a project aimed at advancing the design and optimization of eVTOL aircraft. The research, funded by the U.S. Army, is titled "Multi-Disciplinary Optimization Framework for All-electric and Hybrid-Electric Aerial Vehicles."

OSU team wins emergency eVTOL aircraft design competition

A team of innovative students from the College of Engineering, Architecture and Technology at Oklahoma State University has won the GoAero Stage 1 of the U.S. University Innovation Award for their work in creating an emergency aircraft prototype. The competition, organized by NASA and GoAero, challenged university teams to design and develop autonomous electric vertical takeoff and landing (eVTOL) aircraft for emergencies.

Several research papers accepted into AMSE Turbo Expo

Five research papers have been accepted to be presented at the conference, with one recommended to be published in the ASME journal during the conference. The research topics range from propellers, ducted fan inlet distortion and turboelectric power for unmanned aircraft.
