Oklahoma State University graduate students Chelsea Keel and Alicia Johnson have been named fellows in the Now is the Time: Minority Fellowship Program-Youth. Keel and Johnson are master’s students in the marriage and family therapy program in the College of Human Sciences.

When Sarrah and Zach Owens moved to Stillwater in January, 2016, one of the first things they looked for was a school for their son Jaxon. The Child Development Lab in the College of Human Sciences was just what they needed for the three-year-old as it provided speech and occupational therapies for children who required them.

The College of Human Sciences has named three George Kaiser Family Foundation Endowed Chairs for the Tulsa area. They are faculty members in the Department of Human Development and Family Science on the OSU-Tulsa campus.

Sissy Osteen, Ph.D., has been named department head for the human development and family science department in the College of Human Sciences. Osteen is an associate professor and has been the state resource management specialist for Oklahoma Cooperative Extension Service.

Collaboration includes researchers from OSU’s Center for Health Sciences, colleges of human sciences and education and OU-Tulsa.Hays-Grudo Jennifer The National Institutes of Health (NIH) recently awarded an $11.3 million Center for Biomedical Research Excellence (CoBRE) grant to establish the Children’s Health Equity Solutions Center (CHESC) through Oklahoma State University Center for Health Sciences. The grant is a multi-institutional group of OSU and University of Oklahoma researchers with the long-term goal of eliminating unjust differences in children’s health by race, ethnicity and socioeconomic status through effective translational science.

The OSU College of Education recently recognized three Stillwater Public Schools educators for their efforts in mentoring OSU teacher education and counseling students. Will Rogers Elementary teacher
