OSU researchers tackling wildfire risks linked to electrical infrastructure

Assistant Professor Dr. Hamid Nazaripouya of Oklahoma State University’s College of Engineering, Architecture and Technology has recently been funded by NASA for his project that aims to advance power grid and pre-fire situational awareness by integrating fire-ignition electrical fault data with high-resolution Earth observations of ecological and biophysical factors.
