Gloria Valencia-Weber’s storied career has centered around Native Americans and law, with punctuating milestones in education and advocacy. Her resume includes degrees from OSU (B.A. in English, M.A. in speech communication) and Harvard Law School, the formal establishment of the ACLU of Oklahoma, creating the first Indian Law Certificate Program in the U.S. while working at the University of Tulsa, teaching at the University of New Mexico School of Law for more than 20 years, and being appointed to the Legal Services Corporation board of directors by President Obama in 2010.

OSU awarded $1.3 million to help low-income students, first-generation students and students with disabilities

Oklahoma State University will receive a federal TRIO-Student Support Services (SSS) grant of $1.3 million. The grant, which is awarded every five years by the U.S. Department of Education, is aimed at helping students with disabilities, first-generation students and low-income students succeed and graduate.
