The Oklahoma State University (OSU) School of Global Studies and Partnerships is pleased to announce two new Iranian and Persian Gulf Studies (IPGS) Endowed Professorships. Dr. Ali Mirchi, assistant professor in the Department of Biosystems and Agricultural Engineering and Pouya Jahanshahi, assistant professor of graphic design in the Department of Art, Graphic Design and Art History, each received a three-year appointment.

COVID-19 is wreaking havoc globally, in the U.S. and in the state of Oklahoma. Payne County alone has 14 confirmed cases already (updated March 31, 2020). Protective gears are urgently needed for those medical and police personnel who are on the frontline of fight against the coronavirus pandemic. On March 30, the Stillwater Chinese community, led by the OSU Chinese Faculty & Staff Association (CFSA) and the Stillwater Chinese Baptist Church (SCBC), donated 7,200 facemasks to Stillwater Medical Center and another 2,400 to the Stillwater Police Department.
